Description:
a very variable and widespread shrub. It is the main food for the caterpillar of the uncommon Fringed Heath-blue butterfly.

Flowering:
Flowering occurs from August through to October.

Threats:
Since it is a pioneering species it can disappear if there are no events such as fire.

Management:
TheBush-pea is a woody weed and can become a problem if it is allowed to take over. It may also need suitable events to allow the seedbank, in the soil, to germinate and create another seedbank
