18th January - Marianthus bignoniaceus - Orange Bell-creeper

Marianthus bignoniaceus

Description:
A beautiful vine. Will cover a chair. Edible fruit.

Flowering:
Flowers November - February.

Threats:
Very difficult to propogate. I have not been successful trying to grow it from seed. Can grow it from cuttings but very little success in planting it out. Only one vine so far, on Wirrapunga. It came as a volunteer.

Management:
Seems fine once it has grown high enough.
