Description:
Growing in damp places, plants are bright green, with flower head becoming crescent shaped and rigid, narrow and 6 to 14 cm long. Appressed spikelets are in alternate rows going up the stalk.

Flowering:
Flowers December - February.

Threats:
Overgrown by introduced grasses.

Management:
Very easily grown from runners.
