Description:
There are two species of "early nancy" in the Southern Lofty Ranges. There are Wurmbea dioica and Wurmbea uniflora. They are both about 10 cm high. The flowers of dioica are unisexual whereas the flowers of uniflora are bisexual as can be seen in the photo. Otherwise they are very similar.

Flowering:
Dioica flowers from July to September. Uniflora flowers from September to January.

Threats:
Being overgrown by more vigorous plants.

Management:
Controlling competitors.
