14th September - Centrolepis strigosa - Hairy Centrolepis

Centrolepis strigosa

Description:
This delightful tiny plant only grows a few centimetres high.

Flowering:
Flowering occurs from September through to November.

Threats:
Its only threat seems to be overgrown by larger plants which, of course, are many. It tends to be found on soils which do not carry a full cover of vegetation. However, providing the right sequence of events occur, it will grow nearly anywhere.

Management:
Management of centrolepis is ensuring that those events occur so it does not disappear.
