Metzgeria furcata

Description:
The veilworts are "simple thallose liverworts" in that the thallus (what you can see) is one cell thick. The vein down the centre is made up of elongated conducting cells.

Flowering:
The plant normally reproduces just by bits of it growing. The photo shows this.

Threats:
Grows in any bare, damp situation.

Management:
Needs no special management.
